The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask for the Nintendo 64 is by far my favorite Zelda game. It's a shame I never played it when I was young because I didn't have the Rumble Pak needed, and I thought I wasn't missing out on anything (oh ho, how wrong I was.) I do love Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Ocarina of Time, and everything else Zelda that Nintendo has thrown at me, but I still can't help thinking Majora's Mask was, and is, very different.

According to Zelda.wikia[.com], Majora's Mask has been summed up by Edge magazine as "...the oddest, darkest and saddest of all Zelda games". The game's repeating 3-day pre-apocalyptic time phase is truly unlike anything I've ever seen in a video game before. The game's player is required to follow many characters throughout their daily lives, and perform great tasks, run errands, and even adventure through dank dungeons to alter the final outcome of the land of Termina.

Will Termina and its citizens suffer, and succumb to the grisly fate of the moon's falling destruction? Or by intervention will the land and its people find hope and survive? In Majora's Mask, there is an entire world in your hands- and as the young hero Link, its fragile fate rests upon your childish shoulders...
